So most of you know speakercraft as the inwall speaker company. Well Speakercraft is totally changing their approach at CEDIA this year.
Instead of having their Press conference to just introduce new products they freaked everyone out with the dance troup Lucent Dossier. It's the picture inthe general Cedia thoughts thread that'll give you an idea why we were confused.
This year, instead of featuring their 200 or so products at their booth, Speakercraft is using their experience over the years and around the globe to help their dealers become more efficient and successful! I know you're thinking "wtf"? But they are a really smart company.
With the downturn in the economy many dealers are just trying to stay afloat. Since most dealers are "Audio dorks" Speakercraft is striving to help them organize their business by giving them guidlines in several important areas. Those are "Customer Service", employees, sales, marketing, call backs, and finally referral process. You may thinkit's hokey but it's a brilliant strategy! In tough economic times businesses reflect Darwin's "survival of the fittest".
Be honest, how many businesses do you know or worked for that spends most of their time selling, installing, and putting out fires? Speakercraft is using their combined decades of experience worldwide to give their dealers proven processes in running a sucessful business. I'm sure that you, like me, know many businesses run by people that think they "know it all" and refuse to modify their processes due to arrogance or ego. This economy has claimed many companies as victims but fo rthose that will listen speakercraft will help them succeed for free! All the owners have to do is be able to learn and change. Change? Well there goes about 50% of small companies with arrogant owners. The remaining 50% will prosper from speakercrafts expertise.
What a radically different approach to a CEDIA show. Speakercraft has it together, learn and succeed or ignore and perish.
Genius.
Their new products? They have ROX outdoor rock looking speakers with the same color throughout the epoxy for a natural look no matter what happens. Speakercraft also introduced their speakers that look like lights in low voltage landscaping systems, cool.
Speakercraft also introduced their AIM 10 on wall speakers that are easy to mount and are 3-way speakers featuring a 10" woofer for a fat sound.
