Spare HDD for VIP 722

I acquired a HDD (just the HDD nothing else) out of a VIP 722 on a trade / acquisition and was going to attempt to use it in our VIP 722 but we had to drop Dish Network due to having to stop some bills for awhile.

Anyhow, if I had had Dish Network still, would I have been able to use the HDD from another VIP 722 to replace the HDD in the VIP 722 we had or not?

Provided it's functioning, yes you would have been/could be able to, assuming you own your original.

Oh well.. just asked ..

Not gonna do me any good anyhow ... since we dropped Dish Network...

So I guess I will just have to move it on to someone else...

Of make it work as a normal 500GB HDD...
