Hi Folks,

I hope my topic isn't making you hungry????

I have a complaint....

I just discovered.... Well, NOT another GOYA Food controversy.

But Campbell's Soup.....

My favorite soup from Campbell's Soup is
"Split Pea with Bacon and ham" Yummy, yummy!!!

BUT it seems like Campbell's Soup discontinue making it????

I found out a few weeks ago at my local SAFEWAY Store in Seatac, Washington 98188,
they aren't stocking Campbell's Soup Split Pea Soup!!!
But what's weird is they do stock all the other Campbell's Soup
food. Such as Chicken Soup and Tomato Soup.

I have send my message to Campbell's Soup on their website
about it. No response from Campbell's Soup folks.

It sounds like the rumor I heard and read about 5 or 6 months ago, is TRUE!!!

Saying that the group of women that makes recept, didn't like
Campbell's Soup's Split Pea Soup, and they complained to
Campbell's soup folks.
That was 6 months ago.
I thought it was a joke.

But it sound TRUE, NOW. Or isn't it???

Why didn't those women have better things to do than
trying to CANCEL CULTURE Split Pea Soup???

I use Split Pea Soup on a weekend, 1 can a week.
And left over on the rest of the weekend.

Would someone please tell me what's going on with Campbell's Soup??

Have anyone heard about this CANCELING Campbell's Soup's
Condensed Split Pea Soup with bacon and ham???

Where can I get more here in Seattle???

Will Campbell's Soup make more Split Pea Soup???

Including photo of my can of Condensed Split Pea Soup.

Hope all helps with answers.

Thanks,
Eugene

I think it's just your Safeway running out. It's still on Campbell's website:

You can buy a case from Amazon. :D

Amazon product ASIN B00CF5EIWE

I wish they still made Bean w/Bacon soup like they used to. That is still available too, but it's not the same. :(

When it comes to Campbell's soup, my store has been short on several varieties. Closed restaurants force people to cook for themselves and a shortage of ingredients for easy favorites.

Keep in mind there's a wide range of shortages currently, recent article (which I posted on the thread Shortage of sodas") mentioned that canned soups are on the list of items affected.

So, I guess one possibility is that your favorite soup hasn't been discontinued but temporarily limited on production,

At least I know in the soda department (where I am being seriously affected), is Not that soda companies have discontinued some flavors, but given the lack of certain ingredients, they have temporarily turned off the production of certain flavors, to focus their resources on their main products.

Anyway, hope you find your soup soon.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for your message.

Here what I found out on the other day.

I called Campbell's and talked with a very nice woman.

Due to Covid 19 and keeping employees safe, they have reduced production of their products. They are only making a couple of soups.

They hope to add back more soups by Fall.

Until then, what the stores have is what Cambell's is making.

They apologize they are not making Split pea with ham at this time.

So, from what DJdish said, is right.

We'll find out in the fall.

In the meantime, I guess that I could make Tuna Fish sandwich, instead.
But chicken tenders, also.

Thanks,
Eugene

Bobby,

I don't see any of them that are
"Condensed" soup kind.

Do you know any brand that makes
Split Pea with ham and bacon
as "Condensed"???
Just like the Campbell's Soup had.

No, none of them are condensed. Not sure of any other kind than Campbell's that is.

I usually stop at the Andersen's in Santa Nella when I'm travelling I-5. Their split pea is the best. If I buy soup in the store, that's the one I buy.

Been to the Santa Nella restaurant many, many times on my trips to LA. It's a natural gas, pit and food stop.

Just buy the case of big cans of exactly the soup you want from my Amazon link above. What's holding you up? It'll last forever, or at least until the smaller cans are available again.
