Sony STR-DN1000 HDMI Alert

After countless hours debugging this (you can read many user reviews on amazon.com), we have all come to the conclusion that this model DOES NOT WORK RIGHT WITH ANY HDMI SPLITTERS in place.

We have tried 4 splitters, nothing even plugged into port B, bus as soon as you plug in a splitter, the sound goes to 2-chnl PCM sound.

This does NOT affect other Sony's, like STR-DA5300es, or even HB-SS360 theater in a box. Both these work correctly.
