Hi... Another new guy here, with a couple of questions about a dish I just purchased. It's a Sony SAN-18D2, and I bought it to use in my RV because of the size, mainly. I bought it used for $10.00, and don't even know if it works. Anybody know if this will pick up 110 and 119?

Thanks, and I'm glad I found this site!

P.S. I have a Dish 500, too, but it blew over in a stiff wind in January, and I'm afraid I damaged one of the LNBs. Can you buy replacements, and are they sat specific?

Thanks again.

No

Thanks for the info. The single LNB has two cables coming from it, could it have an automatic switch?

The 2 cables doesn't make it pick up to sats. It's just to go to 2 different receivers. The LNB for the Dish is a legacy LNB and will only work with older systems. The newer systems may not be able to use that LNB. It was built for D* not for E*.

OK, thanks. Guess I'll just bite the bullet and buy a new 500 dish. Do you know if you can replace the LNBs, and are they satellite specific?
Thanks.
