So I had Best Buy Tech out Sat morning... Waste of my time he told me TV was ok but the lines or reciever was bad.. I told him no its not had the reciever replaced!!! Still same faded line, but it only shows up while watching the TV or playing XBOX 360!! Any help please!!!! Does not show up when I pull the guide up.. I still think its the TV I have a cheap LCD in my bedroom and it plays better then the Toshiba I have the the family room....

I may be completely wrong, but my guess is that the program you are watching is not in HD. I see this a lot on Discovery, TLC, Science and History. I see black bars (about 1" wide) on both sides of my TV when these channels are showing non-HD material.

More info

You will have to tell mu more than see a faded black line on one side. Also you talk about a 2nd tv in the house. How is the 2nd tv hooked up. If it is just run on the coax then that is cropped to the center section of the 16 x 9 so you won't see the outer edge of the picture. Just off hand it sounds like the screen is mis-center on the the input that you are using for HD. Is it the HDMI input or component. Anyway what I'm leading up to is tell us the brand, model, and type of input and cable type you are using in your set-up. If you are going thru a home theater receiver before going to the set too.
