Software Update 6.2

Update is done. It took about 25 minutes to complete. Guide is much faster.

My Hughes D* TIVO is in the process of updating with the new firmware. Columbus, Ohio.

OK, I lost the 30 sec commercial skip and the new software won't take the old codes.

ANyone good at hacking the code?

hmmm, I don't see anybody from the South Eastern US. I'm in the Metro Atlanta area. I'v e been tryin since last week (every night around now I force a call) but no dice

I finally got the update. It doesn't look any different. but it is a little faster.

Go into the phone options and there should be a command that says make call now or call dvr service. I can't remember what it said because the wording to force a call changed after I got the software update.

did my weekly force dial-out, and while it did download, and install some data I am not on 6.2 yet.
Now I'm anxious...

I mainly just want folders man.

Got the 6.2 upgrade here in Richmond, Va. yesterday morning around 6:00 am. The folders (groups) are cool, and faster also. :up

I have forced a few calls over the last couple days and my 2 boxes have not been update yet. Got the postcard 4 weeks ago now.

Yes. Unplug your unit and plug it back in. Expect to wait 25 minutes or so for the software download.

Got 6.2 on 1 of 2 Tivos this afternoon here in Pa.

The guide is so much faster ! Now you can really tell how slow 3.1 was.

As of last night, New Orleans is still waiting for the upgrade... They shouldn't send the mailers out so early... we're all going to wear out the D* button on our remotes!
