Software download by satellite

Yesterday, I attempted to download the latest firmware upgrade off of Gal 19. I went to the proper menu section and selected manual download. A screen came up saying "gathering info" , a status bar and cancel button. Anyway, after five minutes of looking at an empty status bar, I opted to cancel the download because for some reason it wasn't happening.

I am using a 2.4m antenna with a S/Q of 95/75 so I was well within tolerance.

Any clues as to why this wouldn't work?

Was the transponder changed in the Manual Download menu to 12115?

Do you have Galaxy 19 KU available on your dish? Is G19 KU active and correctly programed in the antenna set-up menu?

I updated mine last night and all went well!


It's the first time I have ever updated a fta receiver via satellite like this.

mine works fine but remember you have to change TP to 12115 instead of 11842

I was looking at Gal 19 on a different IRD. I even saw the SATAV slot in the mux. But, I will check tomorrow to see what the d/l frequency is. I know that I didn't change it from it's preset setting.

FYI: The default setting is active for the GLORYSTAR system on the other boxes. If I understand correctly, when the micro is fully implemented, the old default might then work.

The 12115 worked just fine. Under transponder I arrowed over until the 12115 freq came up along with the SR. Took about 5 minutes total. I wish all my firmware updates were as easy as this.
