Snow Mold

It's been a long cold winter here in Montana. I still have some snow left on the lawn. Most of it has melted though and revealed the grass is heavily damaged by snow mold. ???? Never heard of it but saw it on the news last night. Apparently the whole area has been affected. It will recover albeit slowly.

You see the white cobwebs of the mold around the edges of the melting snow pack.

Had the same thing covering my lawn in ND. Used the backpack leaf blower to fluff and dry the lawn and it did a good job cleaning it up. The neighbors yards is completely covered.
