Snow & Ice

A cover or heater. There's a couple of styles of covers...some cover the reflector and some cover the entire thing. I had one that just covered the reflector and it helped, but wet snow still stuck.

I've heard of the Hot Shot heater a lot on here.

I ended up getting a heated cover that I saw advertised in Popular Science. It works quite well.

Go over to Menard's or one of their hardware competitors, and consider one of the following: RAIN-X, which is normally used to help keep automobile windshields clear of rain---it also doubles as fairly effective in keeping snow from accumulating on satellite antennas.

Another thing to consider is automotive wax----coat the antenna so that snow does not stick to it.

Do this on a day when it is above freezing, as working at current temperatures may not allow either to be properly applied.
