Has anyone on here ever use their sling on a school's network. It will not work for me and my tech guy has been looking for info that he can use to try to get it working for me. I get error 6 when attempting it. Along works great everywhere else. The sit is not blocked, I can watch on demand programming fine and see events in my dvr but can not view live tv or dvr programs.

I suspect the router is blocking the sling protocol as an unknown protocol. You might have to use an VPN to go through the router firewall.

I don't have access to that, but our network administrator has been very helpful trying new things but hasn't been able to get it working. I thought maybe opening up some different ports but not sure.

My network administrator just opened all ports an it worked. He did this to see which ports the sling was using. He said the ports it's using were already opened through the proxy and that its not respecting the proxy and trying to go straight through. He thinks there is a bug in the software that is preventing it from following the proxy.
