reality, no..

however the SL dishes can tolerate more snow than the old 18 inch dishes we used to have here.

I wouldn't try spraying Spam, or any other meat product on my dish! Seriously, Pam is a vegetable product and you don't want that on your dish. I would use RainX or something similar.

Coworker here uses a super-soaker filled with deicer washer fluid for that purpose, since the dish is on his 2 story roof. Super-Soaker adds enough pressure to get the liquid up there. And if it REALLY snows, he has a painters extension pole (10-20 ft. extended) with a brush on the end to give it a light wipedown.
