I am going to be planing on putting up another directv slimline at the apartment and pointing at the 101W. I know that the slimeline dish is small but if I put up a different dish than what I have I might get in to trouble. I have also have a DN FSS dual stacked LNB's that I am going to put on the directv slimline. Is there a way I can have a multiswitch for my directv slimline that I subscribe to plus my tv antenna and the second dish for FTA. I don't want to run more wires into my apartment thats why. Check out my pics in my album for details.

This comes up about three or four times a year.
The best answer is still: run another coax.

If you want some answers, here are a few of many reasons:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Both receivers use the same frequencies, so they can't be on the cable at the same time.
Both LNBFs need to be powered up to be stable, so...
The DishNet and DirecTV receivers need constant connection with their satellites.
If they lose signal, they go nuts trying to reacquire, and may phone home to report the outage so a technician can come fix it.
If you ever call in for service or have a repairman come out, and your -changes- are discovered, you won't get any help at all.

And last but not least, if we had a solution, we'd tell you! :up

I understand what your getting at. Would the Directv SWM work in my case?
