Anyone out there have any dealings with SkyFX? I am leaning this way as they said I can use one of my surplus primestar dishes and the price is the best.

Thanks

Do you have to get that specific modem and go through them specifically to get the service or are there others that also sell this service? Is this a retailer selling the product making money off of the hardware and monthly cost renting satellite space and using a modem that can be bought from a supplier or is this a company offering the service themselves?

So far the skyfx service as been great!..excellent customer support as well.. saved some money by using my own dish(p*)

Gaming with SkyFX

I live in an area where nothing but Dial-up or Satellite is available to me. I am interested in getting a service that is capable of handling online gaming for either PC's or Game consoles. Has anyone with SkyFX been able to do this? What is the latency like on the sending. I know it uses a phone line but I'm not sure if it's quick enough to use on online gaming. Hughesnet and Wildblue suck all round for gaming and aren't anywhere near being an option. Thanks for any info you can give.

You can forget any Satellite Inet service for in-tense on-line gaming.

Hughesnet FAP has been changed!
