Hi

Is we get Sky uk 28e signal in Texas ?which size of dish for it?

Welcome to the site! Sorry, this isn't possible, for the reasons you saw above. If it were, we'd all be tuning in to the European satellites :) Any specific type of programming you're interested in? News, sports, DIY, comedy, movies, TV series, religious, etc.?

Two resources: www.dishpointer.com if the 'line' is green it's above the horizon. May be possible but check the 'footprints' of the satellite at www.satbeams.com You must be in a footprint for reception.
If the line is red @ dishpointer, it's below the horizon, and impossible.

anything that is "E" we cannot get in the US. The furthest east that I know of is folks in the Maritimes of Canada can get down to 8W

According to satbeams and dishpointer I should be able to "see" as far as 20 degrees east. Haven't tried yet though but I'm as far east as you can poke a stick and not get it wet in Newfoundland.

Horizon cut-off here in Dallas is around 4E, although the signal from a sat at 4E would not reach this far (and you would be pointing the dish at all the buildings). A satellite at 20E would have an elevation of around -18 degrees, i.e. you would be pointing through the earth. As FatAir posted, you can check out satbeams and dishpointer.

Chances are, anything that far east isn't beamed at North America anyway. I know that 8W is because I can receive it. I've heard that 5W might be, but it doesn't seem to be on Ku-band and I don't have a C-band dish.
