I just bought the Samsung SIR-T451 receiver to compare it to the USDigital one. One major question I've got to ask, though: Is there a way to make the aspect compensating 'panels' be black instead of grey? The grey, while maybe is designed to be easier on my eyes, etc. (I don't know), will drive me nuts. And I don't want to stretch it.
Before you ask, I'm not viewing on an HDTV. I've only got SD, and just want this receiver to aid in my hobby of seeing everything that's digitally out there. So when viewing 16:9 stuff, I have panels on the top and bottom.
It's really a nice box otherwise, but just doesn't seem like it's for me--the USDigital one actually fits me better, so I'll probably end up returning the Samsung. But I'd still like to know if anyone has found a way to make the panels black. If it's doable I'll give the Samsung more consideration.
