Single Mode Instructions?

Can anyone tell me how to set the 522 to single mode? Thanks.

Go to the front of the receiver and press the MODE button when you want to go from dual mode to single mode and press it again to go from single mode back to dual mode.

What is the software version? (press the sys info button) Single mode didn't exist prior to L2xx. If you have anything older than L233 you need to let it sit with both tuners turned off for a while so it can update.

Look at the software version by pressing the sys info button.....Latest version I have on the list is L255, L258 or L259....If you do not see any of these numbers, or a higher numerical number(L260 for example) your soft ware version is old....Unplug the reciver from the wall for at least 60 seconds..Plug it back in...The reciever will reset..It will then aquire signal, then load a new program guide..When you see a picture the receiver has sucessfully loaded the latest software...Now, go to the front panel of the receiver make sure that BOTH tuners are on....Press the mode button. At the bottom of the screen a message will appear that will say "use of this operation will interrupt tuner 2 funtions" or words to that effect...Move to yes and press select..At that time the yellow mode light on the front panel will move from dual to single mode....Press the PIP button and you should see a small window showing prgramming on tuner nimber two...
