Single LNB problem

I have a single LNB dish with both cables running to a 3x4 multi-switch. I can set up the receiver with a single cable input with no problems, but when I set it up with two cable inputs, I get a message that the Sat 2 input is missing the right side inputs. Is this a cable issue or an LNB (reception) issue?

Swap tuner 1 and tuner 2 cables on the back of the receiver, see if problem switches or stays with tuner.

To eliminate the multiswitch as the problem, bypass it with a a pair of F/F barrel connectors. Also, try different outputs on the switch.

Thanks for the input. Since I posted the problem, it cleared up on it's own. Must have been a reception problem.
