I'm considering adding an 811 so I can enjoy some HD content while I await the 942.

I have a Dish500 with obviously 2 cables coming into my house into the back of a 721 (2 tuners). How do I incorporate the 811? Forgive the stupid question, but do I just use a 2-way splitter on one of the incoming cables? If so, does this do anything to the 721's dual-tuner fuctionality?

Also, I thought I understood someone to say that Dish's HD is currently on 110 &/or 119, so I would not require SuperDish (yet?) Is this true?

Sorry for the noobie questions.

No. You can NOT "split" one of the cables, or anything like that.

EDIT: This may or MAY NOT have a "Simple Installation ANSWER".

It'd be nice if you would read some of the various threads where this topic is discussed over and over. Try reading some of my posts - I talk about this a lot.

Then, once you know EXACTLY what type of LNBFs, switches, etc. that you have, we will be able to give you recommendations on what you might need.

The simplest answer is that if you have a Quad LNBF, you just run another cable.

269 is great..but I lost an OTA!!

No Picture or Sound w/811
