Hi , guys wondering if anybody can tell when comes to dish alignment and adjustment to receive satellite signal , which is important to receive strong signal . Is it the signal level or the signal quality . ( higher per cent ) .

I am using two dishes the same size 180 cm with the same c-band LNBF . and using one receiver . But the two dishes are 15 meter apart , Aiming at the same satellite and receivng the same transponder .

Dish # 1 gives signal level 88 % and signal quality 41 %

Dish # 2 gives signal level 61 % and signal quality 54 %

In dish #1 the signal level is better than the signal quality

While in dish #2 the signal quality is better than the signal level

( All dishes and LNBFs are identical in brand and model )

Any thought you would have be greatly appreciated .

Best Regards

Signal level also includes background noise. Is the dish with low signal level and high quality installed against a wall? This can help with the signal quality.

Usually signal level means nothing its all about the signal quality!

How do you have it connected?

Are you using two separate cables? Are the lengths the same on each one?

-or-

Are you going into a DiSEqC with both LNBFs and then one cable to the receiver? Are the cable lengths the same from the LNBFs to the switch? Have you tried swapping ports to see if the levels change?
