I have the following antenna RadioShack.com - Home Entertainment: Accessories: Antennas: Outdoor: HDTV Outdoor/Indoor Antenna

I am able to get all local stations with the exception of one that drops in and out at around 50%. I really like this antenna. It is small and out of the five i've tried, it works the best. I've spent a lot of time adjusting it to get the best signal out of the stations I get. At this point I do not want to ticker with the entenna itself anymore or try a new one.

Question: Would a signal booster or amplifier of some sort help bring in the one station that drops?

Channel 2 is weak. Always has been. If you put a signal booster in there I would keep it small or you might overload the stations you get strong signal on. Signal booster will boost everything and a station already coming in at 100% (like.... from grand island) might overpower. Although you could probably compensate by aiming more towards Colden and a bit AWAY from Grand Island. (can ya tell I've done this? hehehehe)

I played with it till the end of time... Right now it is in the "sweet spot" If I move it just a tad anywhere i begin to lose WIVB or WKBW. Right now i've "moved", but i'm worried once 61.5 goes spotbeam i'll be without wgrz... just so happens it has most of the shows I watch. And I would love to get CBC better.

Re: Antenna Advice

I've had this indoor one from Radio Shack:

RadioShack.com - Home Entertainment: Accessories: Antennas: Indoor: Indoor VHF/UHF/HDTV Antenna with RF Remote Control

They do seem to have a decent product. It took awhile to get the best adjustments but I get 90 - 100% on all Channels now except for my CBS one. (If I screw around with it, then I lose some of the others so not worth it - it's just a crappy weak channel here in Chicago.)

I tried a booster and it didn't change anything much for me on the one channel I could not get.
