People will announce here that they've been selected. Give it a few days and if you don't get an e-mail, assume you didn't make it in.

Don't be upset if you don't. I'm not sure I'd want to be a beta tester for Dish's software. Dish has done too many rollbacks or partial releases that never go full release. Now, if this "test" software is basically L4.47 + the online-timer stuff, it should be pretty safe.

I just received a note back from Dish asking me to reply back and agree to the conditions in the email by Thursday, as well as provide my account number. Hopefully this means I'm in.

I too just got a response. It sounds like it'll be no sooner than Nov 16 before the software is available.

I love the warnings:

Potential issues that may occur include:

• Receiver may unexpectedly reset itself.
• Timers may not occur as expected, including not occurring at all, recording the incorrect events, recording for the wrong duration, or other timer problems.
• Loss of recorded events, including loss of recorded events from an external hard disk drive (if connected).
• Other issues not listed here.

I'll respond. I'm using my secondary 622 so my primary receiver stays on board.
