I have direct tv into my second floor where I had to drill through the wall to do it. A multiswitch (I believe) has single coax lines going to several receivers on the second floor. I also drilled another hole to run a single line to a receiver in the basement.
I recently added another receiver in the basement and would like to avoid any more drilling by somehow having the existing basement line supply both receivers. I tried a splitter which let one tv work but the other kept searching.

The more critical concern is whether or not the existing receivers are SWiM compatible. If they aren't, there's no better solution than running another cable from the multiswitch.

If you can tell us what dish/multiswitch configuration you have and what receivers you have we can give you more accurate advice.....cause right now, the answer is....it depends..

Help! HR24 Problems.

Can the receiver sit on a OTA channel for a long time?
