Shutdown DVR

Is there a recommended procedure for shutting down a DVR prior to moving it (HR24 in particular)? Since these things are basically personal computers, i wasn't sure if just pulling the plug might result in the same kind of problems that one might experience on a PC.

No way to shut down without pulling the plug.

You could shut it off via the menu and pull the plug before it reboots.

I always wait about 30 seconds after I pull the plug to move it. (That's what Dish Network tells you to do so I figure what makes a Directv receiver any different.)

Just pull the plug. Nothing bad will happen.
