Shrinking avatars.

I have been wondering this, how come sometimes some people's avatars are icon size, while some other times they are their regular full size?

My avatar shrinks right when I submit a post. It goes back to normal size on refresh.

It used to disappear completely and reappear on refresh.

Mine, too. I have no idea what they are referring to.

It only does it on some browsers after you post, its vBulletins effort to cut down on bandwidth, so instead of showing avatars at 125 x 125 it shows them at 100 x 100 when it reloads the page you just posted to.
