I will definitely be adding Cinemax when the time comes as HBO and its series bore me now. I prefer to have more movies.

I was thinking about adding Showtime as well since I own most of the Starz movies on Blu-ray. Problem is, is Showtime still MPEG2? Movie Channel should be MPEG4 though, right?

There seems to be some conflicting information, but what I'm understanding now is that any channel that was already HD will remain MPEG2 for the time being, any new channels would be MPEG4. So, the "original" Showtime that was in MPEG2 will stay that way for now, but the other Showtime channels they're adding would be MPEG4.

All new HD channels will be in mpeg4 off D10/D11.

I'm sure Directv would love to get all the old mpeg2 HD stuff off the old birds to free up some bandwidth for other SD offerings.
