In the reverse auction method, called “The Game,” items for sale drop in price until all items in that game are sold. GemsTV is one of the largest producers of gemstone jewelry in the world and is able to offer incredible value by cutting out retailers and middlemen and passing on the savings to the customer. Knowledgeable and personable American hosts as well as British presenters from GemsTV’s sister channel in the UK make GemsTV fun to watch and The Game easy to play. Well, he didn't call it "news" anywhere, did he ?? But I do agree, no one cares.... People would care if Dish announced they were dropping ALL shopping channels !! Yeah, yeah, I know that they pay to be carried and in turn keep our bills a bit lower....

By the way, why don't they make all the shopping channels FREE. Why do you need AT100 or higher to get them ??

When I get these channel addition notices then I post them.

I guess it makes it clear that the MOR (Mens Outdoor and Recreation) channel is not coming back.

Yeah, I don't see why E* won't toss in "America's Top Shopping Channels" with the Free PI Pack. Surely, they would help defray the costs of renting the PI channels at "wholesale" rates.

When one requests the Free PI Pack, one is read a lengthy disclaimer about how the channels it contains might suck out one's soul, and scar one's children forever.

These types of channels should be in the thousand range. That way, we don't need to watch them, but dish can still say that they are there.

Move the HD in the hundreds and the shopping and church channels up in the high numbers that no one cares about.

I can see it now.... "Honey, can you change the channel to 902,568?"

They use to. All those knockoff shopping channels use to be free with any previous subbed reciever..

then it changed to the PI pack

then they moved it out of the PI pack

yep. I remember getting read that when I got the PI pack with DishFamily

Yep, MOR is finished. The c-band digital distribution feed is all null pids now (no longer the 8 or so channels that TMG had in that distribution mux to DISH and probably some cable headends).

BTW, thanks for posting those. Unlike others, I appreciate knowing what channels are coming, going and moving on DISH Network, even if I don't care about them. Being informed is better than being ignorant!

Yes, but part of what (some) shopping channels pay for is a prime channel number placement. I would say DirecTV is more guilty of allowing this than Dish, as they scatter shopping throughout their lineup. Dish at least puts most of the shopping channels right in a row, so that (IMO) they are both easier to find for those who like to watch them, and easier to find when one wants to block them out of a favorites list.
