I searched the fora and couldn't come up with anything, but I'm guessing someone in here knows - does Shaw require phone lines to be hooked up if you have multiple receivers? I don't have a phone line period here in IL - I have a Canadian VOIP # for dealing with Shaw, but I doubt it would work for a modem call by the receiver.

Do they care? Thanks.

My broker advised me to limit to two receivers without a phone connection. if you have a VOIP, you might be able to circumvent that, but don't quote me

Swell - thanks. I got the impression from reading around that it was Bell/Dish that were more anal about account stacking and draconian about phone lines. I've never had my D* boxes on a phone line for a decade and was hoping SD would be the same way.

I am in Canada, and have four receivers on my Shaw Direct account and in my home, none connected to phone, with no request from the provider to connect them, nor any interruptions in programming.
