Rumor Alert - DIRECTV

A rumor was passed to us today that Severe Weather Mix in HD could be coming very soon to DIRECTV subscribers... just a rumor but with the Weather Nation deal today, something that makes you say hmmm ... Remember this is just a rumor of a channel that may or may not come about, keep it here at SatelliteGuys please. :)

I would like to be able to put my local feed of WN in there from the AM21, but I know that will never happen. This is cool, although I doubt HLN will show any severe weather coverage, unless it affects the Kardashians.

That's a good idea. Also, I think the plan is to drop one of the channels and add the emergency channel when there is severe weather. They probably would drop Bloomberg as that has no weather info on it. I dont know why they just didnt create a slide that says emergency info here when replace that when the emergency channel is up.

channel has been taken down.

Yeah, I just tuned in (or tried to) hoping to see local stations coverage of the severe storms tonight, but I did not. This is an opportunity for WN to use its affiliiates for their local expertise.

I thought this was going to include feeds from dma's affected by severe weather? Any info. On what to expect

Exactly. The channel is worthless if it's just a mix channel of news stations!
