is anyone getting a signal?
Lyngsat and The List have it as FTA at 11159V 30.000 but I don't get anything despite getting a nice signal on every other channel on that bird, I even manually entered the PIDs on the Coolsat but no dice!
maybe it's gone?

Setanta is coming in. It is weak compared to the other tps on that bird. I´m there mainly for history and bio but could not tweak lnb to get all three with a high quality. I decided on the first two and have them with 70% while setanta comes in at 35% with some breakup.

I can't get that transponder either, I'm located in Guatemala and the other channels in other transponders can be seen except that one.

Im near Mexico City and get like 10%, seems the further down of the Rio Bravo/Grande the least likely you are to get that channel.

btw Jogon, do you get any Ku Band channels at 87, 91, 99 or 103?
According to the beam maps Im out of range (I tested and get nothing), but was wondering if northern Mex gets something?

Popper, I´m in Monterrey and am currently watching 30,72,79,91,97,101,125. And at certain times I have had 63,87,93,103,116,123. All in ku on a 30". I have never tried 99ku, I have it in C band. Hope this helps.

I have a 3 Meter dish and I'm temporarily using a C2KU bracket with a Universal LNB and I still cannot get anything @ 87, 91, 99 or 103. (I do get pretty much every channel on 93,95,97,101 and the satmex sats though)

C band is a different story I get pretty much everything from 87 to 135 except Anik F3 and a weak but still manageable Anik F1

I think this is as good a reception as I'm gonna get with the setup I have (I am gonna replace my ancient C Band LNB though, might be able to get those Anik F3 channels!)

I have come to the conclusion from scanning from 12.5W to 139W on C & Ku that Lyngsat is not accurate. Further, the beams on different transponders on the same sat have different footprints, even though Lyngsat list them all the same.
Most important I found out is the lnb type makes a big difference. The popular lnbf (either C or Ku) that is controlled by the receiver voltage could only align vertical or horizontal. I discovered if I use a servo control feehorn (Eg. Chaparral) with skew settings, it can make a weak signal or unreceivable signal come in. You can infinitely move the skew(probe) to maximize signals.

I gave up on those for C Band, just do not work for me. I also use the Chaparral Feedhorn with servo, might even get a Corotor soon so I can move skew even on Ku Band

Yes I am in the market for a replacement Chaparral Corotor Plus Wideband. I had my unit destroyed in my move from NY to Florida. I have the same issues with Setanta. All other transponders come in S87+. On that transponder I have to go out and move the lnb (skew). The signal will then peak S85+, then the other transponders wil have lower signals. It is not an alignment problem, but a skew problem. If I have an lnb with skew control the problem goes away.
