Anyone know how to setup a timer to seek on the hws with the new cui? My mother has a couple shows she wants to setup that way and i cannot find it. I noticed my son setup the mist with a seek timer but has no idea how he did it

You use the search feature to find the show. Once you find the show select it and it should give you the option to "Record This Show".

This should set up a timer with the "Seek" option.

If you don't see the show, move left to the search box. It will empty. Type in what you want. Even if it's not in the guide yet, it will catch it later. I did this for Combat Trains and others.

My Daughter is trying to find what the VIP called the Pass. Is what you described that feature. She wants to enter just part of the tittle of a show so when it searches the timer will record even when the end of the tittle gets changed a little/added on to. Is that also where she would have the choice of it recording from any channel or a specific one?

Yep. Works.

I put in Project Runway and it got all variants, including Project Runway Junior. We just deleted the unwanted ones.

Don't think it has this feature anymore , I haven't been able to figure out. I used to be able to set up timer for "this old house" or any show containing those words and it would record "ask this old house" or "this old house hour" for example.

So do you have to setup separate timers for each variant? Or is it one timer that will record all variant.

That's exactly what we are looking for on her Hopper 3. It can't be there isn't some feature that does that?

Hopper 3 shuts down, restarts without warning …

How do I tell what lnbf I have?
