Series recording R-15 -100

I have 2 R-15's, no problem in recording individual programs, or series with the following exception: "Law and Order Criminal Intent". If I am on the
schedule and press record I get the first record Icon, pressing record again gets me the series record icon, however after a second or two the record icon goes away completly. Anything special about L&O CI?
