Selling recievers on ebay?

So my neighbor got some recievers in a storage auction (yes just like on TV) and he knows nothing about them, and very little about ebay.

I offered to sell them for him; but not sure what I need to do to 'test' them, do they still come with smart cards, etc?

It's 3 311's, & one 522, and 2 IR remotes.

They all power on the the smart card # screen, the 522 did a hard drive test and passed. Anything else I need to do?

I did a chat with Dish to check the #'s, they said they are clear to add to a new account.

Seems like you're good to go, except that you're missing 2 IR remotes and 1 UHF remote.

Smart cards are always needed. Newer receivers often have them built in...

You need to contact Dish to find out if they are leased or purchased receivers and if there is any balance due on them. You can only sell them if they were purchased and are free and clear of any outstanding debits.
