Second dish needed for local channels?

A few years ago I switched from DirecTV to Dish - because I could not get a signal for our local channels in S.E. Iowa (I have some trees in the way) - the local channel satellite was way down on the southern horizon. Dish found a local channel signal and I switched.

But - we still miss the better movies choices on DirecTV.

I got a call from a DirecTV seller who told me that there is a new and higher satellite now for DirecTV local channels here.

Is that true?

Also, I noted on the DirecTV infor page this:

Would I really need 2 dishes on the roof to get the local channels and regular programming from DirecTV now?

You would need a second dish in order to pick your locals off the satellite located at 72.5 which is probably close to, or, at the same elevation as the 101 satellite. 72.5 would be to the left of the 101 satellite in the south east sky.
