Had a problem the last couple of nights with setting up Season Passes on my HD TIVO, and I was wondering if anybody has had this problem and has a solution.
I was in the process of moving my Fox shows (24, That 70's Show, etc...) from my OTA channel to channel 88 (Fox NY), and the Season passes would not schedule any shows in the To-Do list. It just says "nothing to record", eventhough the view upcoming episodes shows all the shows. I set it as First Run Only, and although the shows were first run, it would not schedule them. I then tried Repeats and First Run, and still nothing. I waited a day to see if the box would "see" the shows, but nothing changed. I then did a re-start, and it still did not help. I thought it might be a problem with channel 88, so I set up the new American Idol for the wife and this worked fine. I then also had the same problem with another show on my local CBS (satellite).
So, I then changed the Season Pass for 24 back to the OTA channel and it worked. Continuing the experiement I changed it back to channel 88 and it did not schedule the shows. It then changed it to record All Episodes, and this worked. The show appeared in the To-Do list immediately. I did for the other shows and it worked.
My conclusion, is there must be something wrong with the Guide data, but only for some of the shows, and some of the channels. I had problems with 24, That 70's Show, Quintuplets, and Arrested Development on Fox HD channel 88, but these worked for the OTA channel. I also had a problem with Joan of Arcadia on the sat CBS local.
Anybody else experiencing similar problems. Any solutions out there, beside what I already done. Since almost all of the those shows do not appear in lots of re-runs, I can set it to record All Episodes without any issues. But That 70's Show is on ALOT, and I really need to record First Run only and I cannot get it to recognize the upcoming episodes.
