Searching by voice works pretty good too for the 50.0 voice remote.

The Search button is just below the channel down arrow and is labeled 'SEARCH' on the 40.0 remote which is standard equipment on a HWS. Works fine here.

As JSheridan mentioned, it is working fine here as well. Now, look on the back of the remote at tell us which remote it is.

Search button on my Dish 40.0 remote works fine with new CUI.

Have you done a power cord reboot?

no I have not done a power cord reboot. It is a hassle to reach & unplug..........plus now I have a broken heel, which makes moving around even more difficult

Also, just push the reset button on the front of the receiver, since you are not able to reach your plug.

yes, I did find the search button

maybe it was me that was screwed up..........I could have sworn that I always pushed the # for search

I believe that was on older remotes.
