Scott, need VIP-922 dimensions

Just a thought. You don't want to pack in any DVR into that tight of a space. It will overheat for sure. Make sure there is excellent room all around it.

It is the same height as a 722k, just under 3.5in high (just talked to my dealer friend). But again, I would not stuff it into a small space or you are going to regret it.

I haven't gotten home the past few nights until after 11pm. I will try to measure it tonight as only thing I have tonight is my sons football practice.

Does anyone know when the official release date is for the 922? And what will the price point be?

Why do you think he/she is going to build a space that's just bigger than the unit itself ? In order to make the space for it big enough, he/she has to know where to start.

Because in general all the recent DVR receivers are the same height (942, 622, 722, 722k, 922 are all within a 1/2 inch of each other) the fact that the poster wants to know exactly how high it is worried me as I am afraid they are going to put the receiver in too small a space. Just trying to prevent a problem before it happens. :)

Trying to help you here. I think it might be the same size as the VIP 722.

From the pictures, it appears to be in the same box as the 612 and 722K. The 622/722 is a different box. They are all around 16-17" wide, but shouldn't be put on a shelf less than 20" wide, nor should they have a pocket shorter than 6" tall to call home. Blocking the front or rear of the pocket is also unacceptable; these bad boys need to BREATH.

Maybe he's trying to stuff it into a small fridge to keep it cool and doesn't want to buy one too small for it to fit, nor too big to waste space. :)
