Anybody getting any other lyngsat-listed stuff on Satmex8 besides ESNE? There are several other ITC channels listed but I don't see them.

I supposed its Ku side, they're lower SRs and hard to get , try entering them manually

UCV TV 12017 H 1950
Mty Mux 12054 V 5400
Televida 12060 V 3078
Expande 12065 V 2370
Televisa 12098 V 1525 (this is the weakest and hard to get - similar to MSNBC on T12)
BYU 12176 H 3702

Even ESNE is gone right now due to stormy weather. I've entered those tp and will check later when weather clears.

I must be seeing something diffferent. I just blind scanned satmex8 at 116.8 and I ended up with a lot of CDOC uplinks, Mediaset italia, an infomercial channel, legislative channel, and a barker for intermountain comms

Here's the only ITC I can get these days on Ku-band on this satellite:

Tijuana XEWT 12098 V 1525
BYU International 12176 H 3702
ESNE 12080 H 3000
Televida Abundante 12060 V 3078

I did get a hint of a signal from Expande-TV, but it doesn't produce much more than a few freezes of audio at the moment. Nothing from the Monterrey mux or UCV TV. I did notice a Televisa Mosaic yesterday on 114.9W, that used to be on this satellite years ago, but it's gone today.

One interesting note is that I have never been able to get most of these channels (other than ESNE) by positioning my 90cm dish at 116.8. I have always had to lie and say it's at 116.4. I don't know why, but it works for the stations I have posted.

Mediasat and the Intermountain Comms are on 91W C-band.

Thats odd. Better check the settings

No wonder, forgot to turn on the 22K switch in the settings after editing the satellite

Satmex8 Footprint

Nothing more received other than ESNE. I guess I'm on the edge of the footprint. The footprint boundary runs through my area.

I sure did. I found I can receive ESNE from 116.2W through 116.9W. Note that the centre is about 116.5W or so. Its SQ is only about 10% when centred but picture only has minor tearing. But nothing from the other tps on a 1-metre dish. This is the value of the PLL LNB. There isn't a need to finely aim the dish anymore like pre-PLL days. It's like AFC on a domestic FM radio: plant the dish approximately correctly and the PLL LNB grabs the signal. I used to use diseqc to aim at the weaker satellites, but now I use USALS for the whole arc. Worst case, I touch up the orbital position of satellites at the ends of the arc if USALS doesn't catch their signals.

ESNE is probably the strongest signal on that one. When I try to move it back to the correct 116.8 position, that's the only one I get, even with my PLL :)

Am getting Expande TV today on 12165 H 2369. They were running a Deutsche Welle program about cars in Spanish. The BYU and Monterey Mux I'd already scanned in, the others -- not a peep out of them.

This morning all that I receive is TP 12180/H/3000 at about Q 14. Channel name comes up as "default program" it appears to be a news program in Spanish.

Looks like ESNE TV.

FWIW: my 30 inch and S9 doesn't get a peep of this satellite. (maybe, just maybe, if I bypass some switches - nah)
