Is it just me, or is Satmex 5 (116.8) have really low signal?

I finally tuned it in and all TP's except for one was only at 34-35. The one feed was at about a 50

Is this normal? Using a 30" dish and a .3 LNB...Is this one of those satellites that you woould normally need a 36"?

MACTV @ 12080 is at 65% with a 39" and a .5 lnb in Georgia.

Mac TV (Is that a Scottish channel?........ JOKE)

At 60% Quality 36" dish QPH-031 LNBF here in MN.

With a 30" dish and 0.5 lnb in Iowa, I'm getting quality between 45 and 60, with BYU marginal at around 20. I don't tune in Satmex much, but I think the levels used to be higher than this.

signal on Satmex is same as it always is but then I am using a 5 meter dish.

SatMex 5 Ku-band drops quite rapidly once you get north of southern Minnesota. DirecWay satellite internet systems used north or south of
Rochester as a boundary whether or not to use SM5 or another U.S.-based Ku-band assignment instead, because of reduced signals any further north.

ahhh...that makes sence then since I'm in Minneapolis

Boy..that bugger drops off DRAMATICALLY then...Rochester is only 50 miles south of Mpls :)
