Are the SatMaps being discontinued?
When I click on SatMaps the following is displayed in a popup window:
File is in owner's trash
You won't be able to access this file soon
If you still need access, please download it or copy and paste it contents
[ Continue ] [ Go to Sheets home screen ]
If I click on one of the Satellites, the map never displays.

Google stopped support for the applet that embedded the maps and between my interests in aircraft and earthquake monitoring networks, I don't have the time to redo all of it.
BUT::
A much better way to examine the beams and coverage is to download the kmz file(s) of interest and open them in Google Earth.
Then, you can toggle satellites, beams, and contours on/off , combining them in any manner you want.
The satbeam kmz datebase can be found here.

If you have any kids in school, it is great. I only buy the v 6.5 and get the rest of it from Amazon.
I build them and gift them to schools.
