sathawk pvr 800hd

hello, this is my first posting and i look forward to learning more about the fta world. my pansat 9200 hd died and so i bought the sat hawk pvr 800 hd receiver. its mostly for c-band because i have a geosat pro dsr 200c for ku-band. i am looking foward to searching for dvb-s2 signals on the sathawk. are there many dvb-s2 on c-band? i have a 8.5 ft motorized big dish that picks up good here in northern california.

Most "S2" signals have been C Band, for me at least, feeds on the weekend.
You may find them a little hard to lock with an 8.5 footer.
