Ok question for everyone...

With the delay of AMC14 getting home to 61.5 which would you want delayed by Dish.

If you had to choose one below which would it be (with the understanding that the one you did not choose would become available a few months later)

National HD Channels

or

HD Locals into the announced April launch areas?

I say delay LIL, as I live in area with no SD locals or HD locals, so "I moved". to NYC dma and have conus NYC. Leave it that way and I will be happy.

Give me National HD and MSG and MSG+ in HD

My City isn't on the list of LIL cities So Of Course I want them to be delayed so I can get mre National channels

I'm being greedy. Buffalo locals were to be launch in 2006. If I can't have my locals, I want national HD.

dang it, I voted Locals, but I meant to delay National, I want locals....I would love to see them turn those on, and then say as soon as that bird is up we will turn on the other HD we promised (USA AND SCI FI NEED TO BE TURNED ON NOW, no matter what) I really would love to have my locals on. They teased me this week when they uplinked them!

Most of us can pick up some or most of them via an off air antenna. For others they have never gotten their locals in HD so whats a few more months wait for those folks. I would rather have the national HD content over the local content, especially knowing that the locals would get here in the not to distant future.

Hey Screw you pal I understand what you are saying, and to be honest the more I think of it, I voted correctly and side with you, National HD would get Dish more customers and really show people they care, I get my Locals in HD over the antenna, I just want to record three of them at a time is that so bad?? I would love to see them get what is going to satify their customer base up there as they are in a tight bind right now

but would it really hurt to just turn on cleveland locals, or at least put STO and FSNOHIO on 61.5 so I can get it

I voted delaying locals. I can pick them up via QAM on my $6 Comcast sub. I'd delay both to be able to get NESN-HD earlier though.

I voted to delay the HD locals. Since it was going to be a while before Tulsa would be available. So I made the short "move" to OKC, plus I can pull in two stations with OTA for Tulsa.

As long as NYC doesnt go spotbeam I am perfectly content. Im worried about the day if/when that happens and i'm without HD locals. My OTA picks up most, but not all of the Buffalo area locals.

From a sales standpoint it would make sense for Dish to launch the national hd first and THEN launch the LIL's.

That way Dish can come into the new LIL markets and say, "Hey, Dish now has your HD Lil's and look at how many national HD channels we have! Subscribe to us!"

As opposed to, "Hey, we now have your HD Lil's just like DirecTV and Comcast, but we don't have as many national HD channels."

It's a pretty easy poll- I have locals OTA so delay the locals- if i didn't it would be delay the nationals.

In my area "D" does not even offer locals, only Dish, and since our only other alternatives are NON-digital cable and unwatchable OTA, the locals in SD look great w/Dish and I can wait on the HD for them as long as I get my main channels, i.e. Sci-Fi, USA, in HD.

Like it matters for now anyhow because were going to be in reruns for the next couple of month's anyhow. I would wrather see people get nationals for now, and get locals when the reruns stop.
