I will listen very carefully. Are ABC-HD, CBS-HD, Fox-HD, and NBC-HD on the visible horizon for Dish Network soon to be released additions?

I think I believe what Scott thinks, makes sense to me now.

Waiting for the FCC to approve Rainbow 1 and the transponder sale so they can have the east HDs on 61.5

The west HDs are waiting on 129.

What BFG said with this added

if you havent been following, DIsh is currently in the process of Buying vooms old sat. once they gets approves (its up to the fcc, which is currently in the process of granting or denying(this is short version)) then they will have plenty of space on 61.5 bird, which would give the east coasters some HD, and the west coast will use the 129, so yes it is in the Future, where, we do not know yet, but we think its going to be an exciting fall and winter!

What happened to D*'s launch of Digital/HD LiL that was supposed to happen on Sept 1st?

As for the R-1 sat at the 61.5, E* can currently transmit the V* channels from that sat since the sat was already transmitting those channels. R-1's 130 spotbeam capability should be able to get most of the largest east coast DMAs by the first of the year when the sale is done. Since E-5 is at the 129 right now, and it is not a spot beam sat, I forsee E* moving some of the sats at the 110/119 around when E10 goes up so that the 129 has a spotbeam sat until the new sat is launched(probably AMC14 from what I have been hearing). Once there is a spotbeam sat at the 129, then they will probably do them on the west coast.

oops larry beat me

what they both said.. but what i think might happen (unless the rainbow 1 thing gets approved by the fcc within the week) is them turning on westcoast locals and to get us something for now. As far as east coast locals Nout sure but what they could do is put them on the new tp at 110 (where espn u is at) and put the remaining east coast locals on 129 with the tp that has two hd test chls in turbo psk thats 6 chnls right there. abc, cbs, nbc and fox... with the possablity of adding upn and wgn AKA the WB in the future at 3 chls per tp. That makes sence as i hope dish reads this and gets the:yikes :!:  Idea and does it. It would be a short term solution as most of the east coast with the exeption of the NE and some in fla. would be able to get 129 and most one dish locals are from the east coast and central timezone being moved from 61.5 to 129. the ones that cant see 129 would beable to get in with in the month or two when it lights up on 61.5 after fcc approval for rainbow1 It would make sence.

No dish will NOT do that. They dont want to light something up temporarly then turn it off and move it to another satellite a few months later.

Perhaps, but I bet E* will do a lot more shuffling of the channels once each DMA is fully changed over to the 129/D1000. Also, you have to admit that E5 at the 129 could be considered temporary considering all the problems they have had with it. It could end up shutting down, and E* would look like a fool if they haven't moved one of the sats at the 110/119 to the 129 by that point. It's a gamble working with an older sat at a location with no spare handy in case of problems.

Besy way to upgrade to HD?
