Hi there. Is there any satellite services in the US where I could receive UK programming?

Cheers!

BBC world is FTA on C-Band (6' dish needed) Other than that you can sub to BBC America (waste of money) or Globecast have a UK soccer package, other than that about all I have seen is the odd feed or sports game here or there. I come for the UK :)

Thanks! Now I need to convince my wife to let me have a 6' C-Band dish. LOL

Would I be able to get HDTV signals over that? e.g. Doctor Who in HD?

Thanks for being so helpful.

No chance of any Dr Who. There is some HD up there FTA but mainly also on C-Band. We are talking mainly feeds that pop up now and again.

The great thing about FTA satellite is you just never know what will appear!

There are two feeds that come direct from the Post Office Tower in the UK that I keep a close eye on for example on one satellite :)

That feed can be received with a 30" dish and a Universal LNBF (KU Band).

You might get a better chance by finding someone in the UK who has a Slingbox and would let you use it occasionally.

I would get a slingbox, if I could find one, then maybe we can do a deal :D

we want your TV, and you guys want ours :)

Regards, C.Barber :)
