So I was planning on doing this last summer but the project was tabled. You can search for the previous thread on this forum by my username.

This is for a fraternity house, and it will be a commercial account. The reason I want to know what exactly I need is because we are going to attempt the install because of the high cost. We were given a list of this equipment for the install from the company that bid our job.

Currently Comcast charges us over $400 per month (+tax) for basic 60 or 70 channel service in 14 rooms with no receivers or special channel packages.

The monthly cost would be about $170 plus tax which is considerably cheaper and would include HD channels, ESPN, etc. This setup would save us money in the first year, and many more down the road.

So can anyone confirm what equipment I will need for this installation?

From what I understand I'll need:
-One KaKu dish: About $150 or so?
-A 6x16 Multiswitch (To split the signal to 15 rooms? about $150-200)
-Fifteen H21 HD Receivers at $89 each

Is this all correct?

Whats better for HD,FTA satellite reciever or Cable?

Kind of an odd UVerse Question
