I have a pristine C/Ku compatible Echostar Model 410 with Videocipher II Plus digital stereo. 20 years old, but used only a couple of months. Original box, remote, manual. From what I gather, it's good only for free channels. I also have a 10-foot Unimesh aluminum dish, also unused for two decades. Has everything including a good amount of wiring.

My question: Is it worth even trying to sell the Echostar? And would the dish be more valuable as scrap?

:welcome to Satelliteguys!

You might get something for it, but I doubt there is much interest. If you can't find a buyer, try putting it on freecycle or some similar website. Someone can use it.

welcome :wave
I moved this to the C-Band area

The receiver is pretty much junk. As you noted its good for a couple free analog channels.
The dish someone might want.

dbird, There is a thread here " Craigslist dishes for your perusal" that may find a good home for that dish. Scrapping a dish hurts our hearts....
