For one, there isn't much content, so later this year Samsung is tiptoeing into an unfamiliar area for the company--providing content. It's launching a 3-D cable channel in the U.S. It is also supporting producers: It helped out last year's DreamWorks/Paramount animated film Megamind with financing and marketing. This is what Yoon Boo-Keun, who heads Samsung's TV operations, calls constructing a 3-D ecosystem.
