I gave my HD tuner to my family since i no longer needed it

when i turned it on.. it wont display the on screen guide or the display the info screen when tune to a channel
which is weird.. it was working fine before
what could it be wrong ?

but it does tune to channel and you can watch them though.. just the guide dont popup..

If I recall correctly, you must use the S-Vid, Component or HDMI outputs on it, to get those menus. (actually I'm not too sure about the S-Vid)

Could that be the problem ?

Have you ever tried yours in QAM (Cable) ?
That sure was a waste of time for me !

thats strange.. if it requires specific cable connection to get the menu..
I think th menu was working on all cable connections before..


BTW it connected with the S-video and with an OTA antenna

Yeah, you need HDMI or component cables to get the menu on that box. I remember the same problem.
