Four Legendary NFL Quarterbacks Join Samsung for Interactive

Las Vegas, NV – Samsung, the Official HDTV of the NFL, kicks off CES 2006 with a bang by having four superstar quarterbacks of the National Football League (NFL) on hand at its Champions Dinner on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Wynn Hotel in the Ballroom. Legendary NFL quarterbacks Dan Marino, Troy Aikman, Steve Young, and Boomer Esiason will engage in an interactive and exciting “chalk talk” discussion all about the 2005 season as we gear up for the NFL playoffs. They will provide their thoughts on best 2005 quarterbacks, offense, defense and the coach of the Year.

“Samsung’s leadership role in aligning our brand with the NFL, and working with these four superstar quarterbacks, underscores our passion for excellence,” said Peter Weedfald, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, U.S. Consumer Electronics & North American Corporate Marketing, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “As a global technology leader, we are honored to have with us at our Champions Dinner four world renown athletes who share our commitment and values.”

The four quarterbacks will also make a special appearance at Samsung’s CES booth #11033 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall during the first two days of the show. Photo and video opportunities will be available as these NFL greats address the crowd and test some of Samsung’s newest and hottest products at CES. On Thursday, January 5, 2006 Dan Marino will be appearing at 11:30am, Troy Aikman at 2:30pm and Steve Young at 4:00pm. On Friday, January 6, 2006 Boomer Esiason will be appearing at 10:00am.

Samsung recently announced a multi-million dollar deal with the NFL for the 2005 and 2006 seasons as the Official HDTV of the NFL. Samsung kicked off the deal by creating a program where the company aligned a different type of TV technology to help consumers better understand the benefits of each category. Dan Marino, Troy Aikman, Steve Young, and Boomer Esiason will represent each of Samsung’s market share leading HDTV categories: LCD, Plasma, DLP, and SlimFit.
