I recently added a new LNB to my setup. I was looking for a good dual LNB and didnt need the Invacom quad. I needed a dual for my G10 dish and didnt like using a .6

Enter the dual .4 LNB made by Sadoun (the label says Sadoun), one of our GOLD sponsers :)

I like the fact that it has 2 good features
-dual output
-NOT a Universal (dont need to change all my setups)

The unit is very well built and even has a cover for the connections (it just slides down). Now since I have snow on my roof, I couldn't hook this up to my motoruized setup, so I decided to put this on my fixed G10 dish. My numbers are decent for G10 with the .6, but every point of signal helps :)

Took down the numbers from the 4 main transponders on G10
11799-51
11719-30
12103-55
12114-80

The above was using my Viacast which has a low signal quality meter but its stable. Also I should mention it was C O L D out (so the 11799 number seems to go down the colder it gets)

Hooked up the .4 and skewed for proper readings. Went in and plugged the Vaicast back in and let it cycle through. Retook readings
11799-56
11719-32
12103-60
12114-90

The manufacturer says a 3-5% gain over a .6 and well they are right. My 11719 use to break up sometimes. I have had this on my dish for 4 hours now (watching various chanels on that TP) and havent had any breakups.

I do like the cover so to help keep moisture out. Now until the weather gets warmer (and the snow melts) I cant put this up against my .3 Xtreme to see how that works. That will be in the near future (once the snow melts)

Overall this is a great LNB and would work great for people who need a good dual LNB and doesnt want to have to pay more for a Invacom. I'd like to thank Sadoun for letting me try this new LNB out. It is well worth it :)

I just purchased this lnbf to go with my 80cm fortec dish. This lnbf should work with my coolsat 5000 correct? Were you able to compare this to the 0.3 xtreme unit? I'm curious what kind of improvement did you see going from 0.4 to 0.3.

yes it will work. Just make sure you use "Single" and 10750 as the LO frequency

I tried this up against the Xtreme on my 36" dish and the results were very similar. So if you need a dual LNB, this will work really good (I have this on my G10 dish right now)

Well I did the test between the Sadoun .4 and the Xtreme .3 (the original, not Xtreme II)

Both are done on the same setup
-30" fixed dish at G10
-Pansat 1500 and its spazmastic meter

Here are the results with the Sadoun .4 LNB
-11799 (main TP)..solid 74
-11719 (trouble TP)..bouncing between 40-45
-12104 (KWTO)..bouncing between 60-75. Picture shows 62 but every time I'd take a picture when it said 75 it would drop
-12114 (UPN)..solid 89
-12034 (Pentagon)..solid 72-75

All and all the numbers are close. But what I like is the Sadoun LNB is stable. My 1500 meter is very spazmastic and a bad lNB will bounce constantly. Sadoun LNB stayed longer at a number.

Plus its a dual :)

Is the "Single" setting due to the fact it's a standard lnbf and not universal or the number of outputs on the lnbf? Since this is a standard dual lnbf shouldn't it be set to "dual lnb" instead?

no. Single means single LO frequency (this works for all Standard LNB's) which would be 10750
Universal is for a UNiversal LNB :)
